About Me

I am a 1st year PhD student at the Toyota Technological Institute at Chicago, where I am grateful to be advised by Dr. Karen Livescu. In my graduate studies, I seek to explore the intersection between language, human cognition, and machine intelligence.

I finished my undergraduate studies at Case Western Reserve University with a double major in Systems Biology and Cognitive Science,  and a minor in Computer Science. Advised by Dr. Hillel Chiel, I studied how nervous systems produce adaptive behavior. I also worked with Dr. Mark Turner on computational models of cognition.

In my free time, I coach the Peruvian National Debate Team to compete at the World Schools Debating Championship, with two of my students having recently won the World Schools Debate Championship in Spanish (MED 2024).

I’m also a Master rank jungler in LoL (and top 50 Arena).
